Programming / Web Development

I am proficient in many programming languages.  Some are old and obscure, while others are new and still in an their engineering phases.  Honestly, I can find my way around just about any programming language.  My favorite, by far, would have to be Python - but I am very productive in many other languages as well, including (but not limited to) PHP; Javascript;  Actionscript; Objective C; and .net. - just to name a few.

I have designed numerous web applications.  Where social communities, public forums, and corporate intranets top the list, I have even produced an online casting agency.   After 13 years of Development, I have learned what kinds of things work - and, what kind of things don't work.  When you have in your arsenal an experienced Software Architect, you can transcend the limitations of what you think you must settle for, to the level of what you actually want and need.

Interface Design / Integration

Over the years I have honed and perfected a mastery of designing and building user interfaces.  I have a reputation with designers for integrating a pixel-perfect representation of the original design, remaining consistent across the breadth and scope of all major browsers.  Simply put, CSS is putty in my hands.

Database Design

Proper database structure is everything when designing a complex application.  Even a minute adjustment in how an application is structured around a data set, can make a 1000% difference in the performance of the application.  Without structure, there is only chaos.  Database design is everything - it is core.

Prototyping

Many of my clients are hard-working entrepreneurs who are paying for the initial development of a product out of their own pockets.  It is therefore my responsibility to be aware and respectful of that.  If I can build for you a prototype of your idea, before embarking on a full-fledged development, in an effort to help you prove your concept's worthiness, thus enabling you to secure more funding, then I have served my purpose.  Truly, I tackle your project with a vested interest at heart.  This approach is beneficial to both of us.
